At Haus-Neufus German Shepherds, our involvement with our dogs does not end when a puppy leaves for their new home. In many ways, that is where the most important part of their story begins.

We recently had the opportunity to see dogs from our breeding program featured by WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, as part of a story highlighting a local photographer and the incredible bond between people and their pets.

For us, seeing Haus-Neufus dogs become part of stories like this is incredibly meaningful.

Bred for More Than Beauty

We are proud of the beauty, structure, pedigree, and accomplishments behind our German Shepherds, but those qualities represent only part of what we strive to produce.

Temperament and character are equally important.

Our goal is to breed German Shepherds capable of becoming deeply connected members of their families while maintaining the intelligence, confidence, working ability, and breed character the German Shepherd is known for.

Seeing that relationship captured years after one of our puppies leaves us is one of the greatest rewards of breeding.

The Haus-Neufus Legacy

Every breeding at Haus-Neufus is carefully planned. We consider pedigree, health, structure, temperament, working ability, and the qualities each pairing may contribute to the next generation.

But pedigrees and titles only tell part of the story.

The real legacy of a breeding can be seen in the lives those dogs eventually share with their families.

Whether a Haus-Neufus German Shepherd goes on to compete, train, travel, or simply become someone's constant companion, we want each dog to represent the qualities we value in the breed.

Stories like this remind us exactly why we do what we do.

Watch the WBIR Feature

The WBIR feature shares a beautiful look at the connection between pets and the people who love them, including German Shepherds produced through our Haus-Neufus breeding program.

We are proud to have played a small part in a much bigger story about the relationships these dogs create throughout their lives.
